Job description
The Battery Remanufacturing Team at Rivian is looking for a hands-on Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to drive the lifecycle of High Voltage (HV) Batteries. This role focuses on ensuring remanufactured products meet high performance and sustainability standards. The engineer will lead investigations into electro-mechanical failures and implement solutions to improve battery yield and optimize processes. Collaboration with various teams is essential to resolve issues related to HV battery assemblies and components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1-3 years of experience with mechanical or electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on core engineering principles.
- Experience with engineering design tools such as Catia, Solidworks, or Autocad.
- Knowledge of high voltage batteries, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and chargers.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Own the components and assemblies for HV battery packs.
- Lead investigations into electro-mechanical failures and implement engineering solutions.
- Manage suppliers for rapid change implementation and provide feedback to Product Development teams.
- Support the development and validation of remanufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with the Reman team and other departments to resolve issues related to HV battery assemblies.
