The Sr. Electrical Design Engineer will join KLA's team in Milpitas, focusing on designing and debugging Linux firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems. This role involves working on various aspects of KLA products, including power electronics and signal processing. The engineer will take end-to-end ownership of projects, from concept through field deployment. The position requires collaboration with a team dedicated to advancing semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 3 years of related work experience, Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience.
- Strong capabilities in solving firmware and hardware/software integration issues.
- Proficiency with Linux internals, networking, and Embedded Linux build systems.
- Experience in low-level programming, including BSP coding and drivers.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps stack and standards, including git and testing automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and debug Linux firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems.
- Develop features in various areas, including power electronics and signal processing.
- Design and develop system architecture, focusing on hardware interfaces and communication protocols.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects from concept and simulation to development and integration.
- Bring up new hardware and work with datasheets for device configuration.
