Job description

The Mechatronics Systems Design Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on developing metrology equipment for the semiconductor industry. This role involves working closely with customers to address challenging requirements and ensuring the performance of metrology solutions. The team is dedicated to innovation and problem-solving, contributing to the advancement of semiconductor manufacturing processes. The position requires hands-on work in both lab and cleanroom environments.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate degree with 3 years of related work experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related work experience is required.
  • Good understanding of feedback control system design, system identification, and signal processing.
  • Knowledge of numerical optimization and image processing is a plus.
  • Strong experience with experimental design and hardware-in-the-loop experimentation.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of precision machine design.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently on data collection, analysis, calibration, and writing scripts using Python or Matlab.
  • Perform hands-on work with hardware and gather necessary data in the lab or cleanroom.
  • Define plans for system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer support organization.
