Job description

As a Lead Structural/Bridge Engineer in Nashville, Tennessee, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering innovative transportation solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of bridge-related design experience
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structures is desired
  • 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on conventional bridges
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee, or ability to obtain within six months if licensed in another state
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges and retaining walls
  • Develop and review construction documents, design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering reports
  • Coordinate with roadway, drainage, traffic, and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated project solutions
  • Ensure designs meet project requirements and applicable standards, including TDOT and AASHTO specifications
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and design staff
