Job description

NVIDIA is seeking an exceptional engineering leader to head the Isaac Manipulation team, focusing on giving robotic arms the necessary perception and skills for impactful work. This role involves shaping the strategy and roadmap for manipulation, bridging research and product, and engaging with partners and developers. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of robotics engineers and drive the execution of complex programs. Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience in building robotics or robotics-adjacent systems.
  • 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and managing engineering teams.
  • Hands-on expertise with robotic arms, manipulation, and physics.
  • Working understanding of GPU-accelerated computing and modern ML infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with external partners and developer communities.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals in modern C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Isaac Manipulation team and manage the team's health, velocity, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to define and drive the strategy and roadmap for manipulation.
  • Translate complex industrial manipulation tasks into robust capabilities.
  • Partner with NVIDIA Research and other teams to integrate advanced learning approaches.
  • Serve as the technical face of Isaac Manipulation to external partners and developers.
  • Drive architecture and execution that leverages NVIDIA's accelerated computing stack.
  • Plan and execute complex, multi-functional programs and ensure quality and performance.
