NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled Failure Analysis Engineer to join their Failure Analysis Lab. This role involves investigating complex product failures at the intersection of physics, process technology, and circuit design. The engineer will perform Physical Failure Analysis on advanced integrated circuits and deep learning processors, uncovering root causes that influence the future of computing. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments and contribute to building cutting-edge infrastructure.

• Deep understanding of semiconductor IC fabrication and advanced packaging processes.
• Proven proficiency in precision IC device sample preparation for defect localization.
• Hands-on expertise with advanced Optical and Electron microscopy techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of physical and electrical failure analysis across various levels.
• A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

• Develop advanced failure analysis techniques and methodologies.
• Pioneer novel methods for root-cause investigations on leading-edge silicon.
• Perform mechanical cross-sectioning and advanced chemical de-processing of IC devices.
• Apply advanced Focused Ion Beam sample preparation and analysis techniques.
• Lead high-impact failure analysis investigations to isolate root causes of critical failures.
• Deliver precise physical characterization data to support engineering teams.
