The Distinguished Engineer of Production Silicon Diagnostics at NVIDIA will lead the strategy and methodology for production diagnostics, focusing on yield learning, failure analysis, and product ramp. This role is crucial as the company introduces advanced process technologies, requiring sophisticated diagnostic capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production diagnostics and technical leadership. The position emphasizes the integration of diagnostics into a scalable production system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 20+ overall years of experience in semiconductor engineering, production diagnostics, DFT, test, silicon debug, FA, yield learning, or related post-silicon subject areas.
- 12+ years of technical leadership and people management experience, including building new engineering capabilities and mentoring senior technical talent.
- Deep expertise in ATPG diagnostics, memory diagnostics, production test data, diagnostic automation, and high-volume production debug or yield-learning flows.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the strategy for NVIDIA’s production diagnostics, covering ATPG and memory diagnostics.
- Establish the multi-functional operating model required to make diagnostics a scalable capability across various teams.
- Drive advanced diagnostic capabilities for next-generation product ramps, including backside power technology.
- Standardize and automate end-to-end diagnostics flows to improve efficiency and diagnostic quality.
- Connect diagnostic signatures, failure classifications, and product learning into a closed-loop production yield-learning system.
- Build diagnostic-friendly design and DFT practices while integrating prototype methods into the production diagnostics platform.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
