This role is part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, focusing on the design, planning, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The position involves working with a diverse team of experts to maintain and innovate building management and electrical power monitoring systems. The role emphasizes collaboration across AWS to ensure safety, security, and efficiency in data center operations. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience
- 3 years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
Responsibilities
- Train and assist internal customers with the creation and operation of BMS and EPMS systems
- Provide technical assistance and support during the life cycle of the data center
- Develop project scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of efforts for BMS and EPMS projects
- Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects
- Assist in procurement activities including reviewing vendor proposals and issuing purchase orders
- Participate in the global on-call schedule for BMS and EPMS technical support
- Review and implement controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to the design team
- Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenging situations
- Frequently visit assigned data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work
