Job description

The DC industrial engineer at Apple will focus on optimizing logistics operations to enhance customer experience and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of Apple's distribution center network and its interaction with transportation. The engineer will work cross-functionally to identify improvement opportunities while managing costs. A strong emphasis will be placed on data analytics and continuous improvement through Lean principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) or in leadership roles within warehouses is necessary.
  • Proficiency in warehouse/manufacturing simulation models to design and improve operations is essential.
  • Familiarity with industry benchmark studies and Lean-Six Sigma methodologies is required.
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to extract insights from large data sets are needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
