Job description

The role is focused on electrical engineering within KLA's Global Products Group, specifically in the Surfscan team. This team is dedicated to developing metrology and inspection products for semiconductor manufacturing. The position involves designing and prototyping analog and digital circuits, as well as high-speed FPGA designs. Collaboration with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers is essential to ensure successful product integration and validation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering with 1+ year of experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and mixed signal electronics design.
  • Experience with PCB design, FPGA, and embedded processor development.
  • Familiarity with engineering development tools such as OrCAD, Xilinx Vivado/ISE, and Intel Quartus.

Responsibilities

  • Define electrical subsystem requirements, specifications, and interfaces based on system requirements.
  • Design and prototype analog and digital circuits, including directing PCB board layout.
  • Develop test fixtures, procedures, and scripts for PCB and FPGA testing.
  • Conduct integration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting at various levels.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful product integration.
