Job description

In this role at Apple, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on completing partition place and route from netlist to tapeout, including automation tasks for Apple SOC. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure a robust power grid and to resolve design and flow issues. You will develop features and methodologies that will be utilized across a wide range of SOC partitions. Requirements

  • Minimum BS degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with block level Physical Design Implementation from Netlist to GDS.
  • Scripting skills in TCL and/or Python for automation tasks.
  • Understanding of industry standard tools for PNR, Voltage Drop Analysis, STA, and Layout Verification.
  • Familiarity with automation for Physical Design and block level execution.
  • Experience with the latest technology nodes tapeout is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete partition place and route from netlist to tapeout including automation tasks.
  • Work multi-functionally with CAD, Physical Verification, Electrical analysis, and PnR Teams.
  • Develop features and methodology solutions for SOC partitions.
  • Collaborate with technology teams for node evaluations and physical verification.
  • Resolve design and flow issues related to physical design and drive execution.
