Job description

In this highly visible role at Apple, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for completing partition place and route from netlist to tapeout, including automation tasks for Apple SOC. The position emphasizes collaboration with various teams to ensure a robust and DRC-clean power grid. You will leverage your technical expertise in physical design automation and problem-solving methodologies to develop features applicable across SOC partitions. Requirements

  • Minimum BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with automation for Physical Design, including block execution and using TCL and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with aspects of ASIC integration, including floorplanning, clock and power distribution, global signal planning, I/O planning, and hard IP integration.
  • Understanding of industry standard tools for PNR, Voltage Drop Analysis, STA, and Layout Verification.
  • Experience with the latest technology nodes tapeout is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete partition place and route from netlist to tapeout.
  • Develop automation tasks for Apple SOC.
  • Collaborate multi-functionally with CAD, Physical Verification, Electrical analysis, and PnR Teams.
  • Ensure a strong and DRC-clean power grid.
  • Develop features and methodology solutions for a wide range of SOC partitions.
