Job description
The role involves working with the AWS Controls Team to innovate, deploy, optimize, and maintain automation systems within AWS data centers. The team is composed of experts in various fields, and the candidate will be responsible for managing building management systems and electrical power monitoring systems. The position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure project timelines and specifications are met. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management, mechanical, electrical, or technology fields.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant controls experience, or 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years with industrial controls in critical environments such as data centers or pharmaceuticals.
- 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution.
- Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC controls or electrical SCADA systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for AWS data center construction.
- Ensure data center controls are deployed according to the scope of work and specifications.
- Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
- Develop controls bill of material (BOM).
- Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate difficult situations.
- Financially manage both construction and service contracts.
- Act in a project sponsor or lead capacity.
- Provide vendor management and technical assistance during the data center lifecycle.
- Perform controls root cause analysis for service of controls in AWS data centers.
- Schedule and supervise quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS.
