Job description

The Senior Staff Software Engineer for Accelerator Platforms at Google will focus on architecting and driving software innovations that power Google's AI and High-Performance Computing infrastructure. This role involves managing project priorities and collaborating with multiple teams to deliver scalable solutions for Google's Data Centers. The engineer will work on the software stack above firmware, including distributed systems and Linux OS components. This position is critical for enabling massive-scale deployment of Accelerators for Google's services and Cloud.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience with Linux networking concepts and development.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Tech Lead, defining the architecture and technical roadmap for the software stack on accelerator platforms.
  • Drive large-scale technical programs from concept to deployment, ensuring cross-team alignment and on-time delivery.
  • Guide multiple teams through the successful design, development, and execution of the technical roadmap.
  • Focus on distributed systems software, core Linux OS components, and power management strategies.
  • Interface with hardware, software, and SRE teams to deliver scalable solutions.
