The Current Product Improvement - System Performance Technical Specialist role focuses on leading product problem-solving projects related to complex components and systems. The position is part of the System Performance, Aftertreatment, Controls, and Emissions (SPACE) team, which aims to deliver product improvements for EBU platforms in North America. The specialist will engage with cross-functional stakeholders and mentor engineers while ensuring high-quality technical execution. This role requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement in engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an appropriate STEM field is required.
- Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.
- Experience with engine systems, controls, calibration, diagnostics, or performance-related projects is preferred.
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead Product Problem Solving (PPS) projects for complex components and systems.
- Engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and drive informed decisions.
- Make high-impact decisions on analysis, testing, and execution details.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools and processes.
- Coordinate and guide technicians, students, and junior engineers.
