• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with complex FPGA firmware designs
• Proficiency with FPGA design tools such as Synplify, ISE, Vivado, Quartus
• Familiarity with FPGA simulation tools like VCS, Modelsim or equivalent
• Proficiency with hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog
• Understanding of FPGA timing analysis and ability to solve timing-related issues
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Collaborate with hardware and embedded software engineers to design FPGA firmware
• Define FPGA firmware requirement specifications and develop design projects from concept to production release
• Design test benches for simulation, timing analysis, FPGA functionality verification, and validation test scripts
• Debug the entire system in collaboration with hardware and software engineers
