Job description

The Customer Application Engineer role at KLA involves working closely with semiconductor customers to optimize processes and enhance product adoption. The position is part of the Measurement, Analytics and Control group, which focuses on developing advanced software solutions for lithography and metrology. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and customers to address challenges and improve manufacturing performance. The engineer will also be involved in product application development and provide training and support to customers.

Requirements

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry with a strong focus on lithography.
  • Hands-on experience with exposure tools is strongly preferred.
  • University degree in Engineering, Physics, or another relevant natural science discipline.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to travel, domestic and international, 25% target.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support customers on process optimization and structural improvements.
  • Use technical expertise and MACH Analytics software to address customer challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with customers on-site to evaluate and validate new software modules.
  • Design and implement product applications for MACH Analytics software.
  • Support new product introductions including characterization and alpha testing.
  • Develop and review feature requirements and execute test plans.
  • Publish results, insights, and recommendations.
  • Conduct new product demonstrations and technical training for customers.
