This role is focused on supporting the development and management of AWS's database services, particularly Aurora MySQL and Limitless Database. You will work closely with customers to address their challenges and enhance the performance of managed database services. The position involves collaborating with software development engineers and product managers throughout the product lifecycle. You will also engage with the open-source community and contribute to automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.

• 5+ years of relational database technology experience such as Redshift, Oracle, MySQL or MS SQL.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host.
• 3+ years of experience in operations of highly available and scalable internet systems with a large customer base.
• 3+ years of experience with a modern programming language such as Ruby, Java, Python, or C#.
• Knowledge of primary AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC, Route53, and S3.

• Work closely with customers to understand their challenges and solve issues during critical escalations.
• Act as the 'voice of the customer' to influence the engineering process and design new features.
• Drive feature enhancements and permanently resolve the root causes of issues.
• Contribute to automation solutions to improve the operational efficiency of the database service.
• Engage with the open-source community via forums, conferences, and code submissions.
