The Macro Research team within Global Investment Research is looking for an experienced credit strategist to join their Global Credit Strategy Research team in Salt Lake City. This role focuses on analyzing the intersection of economics and financial markets, particularly in the corporate credit markets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the markets and a desire to contribute to thought leadership in investment research. The position involves working collaboratively with various stakeholders and modernizing data infrastructure.
Requirements
- 2 to 4+ years of experience working in investment strategy research, ideally with familiarity in corporate credit markets.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or STEM or CFA/CAIA is preferable.
- Strong quantitative skills and fluency in applied statistics and econometrics.
- Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using Python, SAS, SQL, etc. for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with vendor data such as Bloomberg, PitchBook LCD, Dealogic, Haver, Preqin is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large amounts of data related to the global corporate credit market.
- Assist the team in publishing timely and topical investment research.
- Play a key role in the production process by regularly updating charts and data.
- Support internal stakeholders to deliver superior client service and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with the broader Macro Strategy team and regional economists.
- Help modernize the team's vast data infrastructure where applicable.
