Job description
The 3D Graphics Team is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to focus on system and performance optimization. This role involves deep engagement with system architecture and user interface systems to establish performance baselines and resolve complex issues. The engineer will design and implement an automated power and performance regression testing strategy, targeting key metrics across various platforms. Collaboration with other engineers is essential to provide insights that enhance user experience.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience developing performance-critical software.
- Solid understanding of systems architecture and modern frameworks for mobile applications.
- Experience with UI development for iOS, macOS, watchOS, or other Native Platforms.
- Proficiency in using profiling tools such as Xcode Instruments and Android Studio Profiler.
- Knowledge of power management and battery-life analysis techniques.
- Experience with Mac or iOS application development using Swift/Swift-UI or Objective-C.
- Experience with Metal or modern graphics APIs like DirectX and Vulkan.
