Job description

The Amazon GuardDuty team is seeking a strong software engineer to contribute to a customer-facing threat detection service designed to protect applications and services running in AWS. This role involves working with advanced analytics and machine learning to detect threats while collaborating with Math PhDs and security researchers. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Responsibilities

  • Build the future of the Amazon GuardDuty service by developing scalable security systems.
  • Collaborate with researchers to codify security analytics into the service.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure system reliability.
