Job description

The Wi-Fi Firmware Engineer will join a dynamic team focused on developing innovative firmware and software solutions for Apple's latest products, including iPhone, iPad, and more. This role involves working on design, integration, testing, and optimization from early prototypes to productization. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful feature implementation and performance evaluation. A strong understanding of wireless communications and networking is essential for contributing to technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Fluency in C/C++ programming languages
  • Understanding of wireless communications and networking stack exposure
  • Knowledge of communication theory related to wireless systems
  • Proficiency in Git or other code source management tools
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation and optimization of firmware and software design for Apple products
  • Document requirements and design documentation for firmware implementation
  • Evaluate performance on software and hardware prototypes
  • Analyze logs and push features through the build process into released software
  • Collaborate with extended teams in system, hardware, and PHY teams to complete joint effort features
  • Utilize AI tools for development, testing, and debugging firmware
