This position requires creativity in problem solving and the ability to adapt quickly to new technical areas.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering discipline and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven ability with a track record of hands-on engineering management or program/project management.
  • Experience working in the development of wireless baseband modem systems, algorithms, hardware, and/or firmware.
  • Good knowledge of wireless communications such as OFDM and MIMO.
  • Experience in wireless standards like 5G-NR, 4G LTE, UMTS, GSM, or CDMA is a significant plus.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end cellular system involving the user equipment and network is desired.
  • Experience in leading algorithm development, modeling, and systems simulation.
  • Good understanding of modern cellular PHY building blocks, RF, and baseband integration is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at the senior management level, including strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Program manage cellular baseband modems to meet performance, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate multi-functional teams and communicate across the systems and silicon engineering ecosystem.
  • Lead technical teams and multi-functional groups against established plans.
  • Demonstrate creativity in problem solving and adapt quickly to new technical areas.
  • Establish and manage sophisticated multi-functional relationships in a dynamic engineering environment.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
