Job description
The role involves leading the mechanical design, integration, and validation of complex multi-chamber subsystems within KLA's Global Products Group. The team focuses on ensuring structural stability, precision performance, and robust contamination control in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Candidates will work closely with various engineering disciplines to achieve seamless system-level integration. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a commitment to innovation in the semiconductor industry.
Requirements
- MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field such as Applied Physics or Materials Science.
- 8–12+ years of experience in mechanical design and integration of complex systems.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles including precision design and contamination control.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD/PLM workflows and experience with analysis tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and clear technical communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design, integration, and validation of complex, multi-chamber subsystems.
- Design and develop ultra-clean vacuum system hardware and components.
- Drive structural, thermal, fluid, and vibrational analyses to optimize component performance.
- Collaborate closely with optics, metrology, electrical, and software teams for subsystem compatibility.
- Plan, execute, and oversee test activities including instrumentation and data analysis.
