The Water Engineer Co-Op/Intern position at Arcadis offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in water engineering projects. The role is part of the Water Business Line in Columbus, OH, focusing on protecting natural environments and water resources. Interns will work on projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management, while also supporting sustainability and resilience initiatives. This position allows for fieldwork and collaboration with teams across the U.S. and internationally.

• Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or another closely related academic discipline.
• Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors is preferred.
• EIT certification or desire to obtain is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• Evaluate, plan, design, and support the management of water engineering projects.
• Assist in the design of various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
• Support preparation of reports, presentations, and participate in client meetings.
• Conduct site visits, perform sampling, and conduct water quality analyses.
• Support Asset Management projects by performing data analytics and assessments.
