Qualcomm is seeking talented engineers for CPU RTL development aimed at high performance, low power devices utilizing the RISC-V Architecture. As a CPU Micro-architecture and RTL Design Engineer, you will collaborate with chip architects to define micro-architecture and contribute to product life-cycle from early stages. The role emphasizes performance exploration, microarchitecture development, and RTL design ownership. You will also support functional and performance verification efforts to ensure design goals are met.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture including expertise in areas such as instruction fetch and decode, branch prediction, and out-of-order execution.
• Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.
• Understanding of low power microarchitecture techniques and high-performance techniques.

• Explore high performance strategies in collaboration with the CPU modeling team.
• Develop and specify microarchitecture from high-level exploration to detailed specifications.
• Own the development, assessment, and refinement of RTL design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals.
• Assist the design verification team in executing the functional verification strategy.
• Support performance verification to ensure the RTL design meets performance goals.
• Collaborate with a multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design aspects.
