Job description
The Senior Low Latency Engineer role focuses on deploying, building, and operating ultra-low latency network infrastructure for high-frequency trading and market data platforms. This position requires deep expertise in multicast market data distribution and TCP/IP stack behavior, along with strong experience in Cisco and Arista platforms. The role is part of the Infrastructure Production Management & Reliability Engineering team, responsible for maintaining the stability and reliability of the organization's infrastructure systems. The engineer will work on optimizing performance and ensuring availability to support business operations.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in low-latency networking and market data connectivity.
- Deep expertise in multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP) and TCP/IP internals.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista switching and routing platforms.
- Experience with FPGA-based systems or hardware-accelerated networking.
- Programming knowledge in Python for automation and scripting.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design and engineering decisions for low-latency market data infrastructure.
- Optimize high-speed data delivery pipelines for trading systems.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Manage and troubleshoot UDP multicast and TCP/IP stack connectivity.
- Perform deep packet capture analysis to investigate latency and packet loss.
