Job description
The Apple Acoustics Engineering Project Manager (EPM) team is seeking an EPM to lead the development and qualification of Acoustics technology and Microphone modules. This role involves overseeing internal efforts and coordinating with external partners across technology and hardware engineering. The EPM will advocate for optimal acoustic performance while managing risks and schedules. Strong collaboration with engineering teams is essential to deliver high-quality acoustic modules on time.
Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is required.
- 5+ years of project management experience is necessary.
- Experience in shipping high-volume products or collaborating with industry manufacturing partners is essential.
- Knowledge of technology and product development cycles is required.
- A strong technical background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, advanced manufacturing, particularly in MEMS device and ASIC development is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee internal efforts of the microphone and audio integration teams.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with external partners within technology and hardware engineering.
- Identify and resolve potential pitfalls to the schedule and risks to product quality.
- Advocate for the best overall acoustic performance throughout the organization.
- Facilitate risk management and communicate status and issues to the development team and Apple executives.
