The Infrastructure Foundational Services (IFS) team within AWS is seeking a software engineer to design and build highly available services that operate at massive scale. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including developers and infrastructure teams, to enhance customer experiences. The engineer will work with modern programming languages and technologies to develop impactful services. The position also includes participating in on-call rotations to ensure operational excellence.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and build highly available, regional and zonal services that operate at massive scale.
• Own features end-to-end, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Develop modern Kotlin, Java, Python, or TypeScript services with measurable impact on availability and security.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence.
• Work with a team of passionate engineers to deliver the next generation of infrastructure data and provisioning services.
