The Fleet Remediation Senior Project Design Electrical Engineer will lead design projects in operational data centers to address issues, upgrade infrastructure, or add new services. This role is part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, which is responsible for maintaining the global cloud infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure safety, security, and efficiency while managing multiple projects across different regions. • 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region.
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License is preferred.

• Lead design projects for data center upgrades and new infrastructure solutions.
• Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for data centers.
• Interface with internal and external engineering teams to promote standards.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert during remediation projects.
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover of projects.
