This role focuses on improving physical synthesis techniques for Apple's processors, including CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs. The position requires collaboration with design teams to develop methodologies and optimized flows that enhance performance and power efficiency. The expert will also work with EDA vendors to shape tool roadmaps and create custom solutions. The ultimate goal is to push the boundaries of synthesis capabilities and deliver faster, more efficient Apple devices.

• Minimum requirement of BS degree and 20 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with TCL, Python, or Perl scripting languages
• Experience with industry standard Synthesis tools such as Fusion Compiler or Genus
• Hands-on knowledge of industry standard Synthesis and PNR tools like Genus and Innovus
• Solid understanding of Extraction and STA methodology and tools
• Experience with Power Analysis tools like PTPX is a plus

• Own the synthesis challenges that matter most to Apple Silicon.
• Develop, improve, and support the implementation flow from RTL through GDS signoff.
• Partner closely with design teams to define effective methodologies and tools.
• Develop innovative techniques and validate them through full validation flows.
• Work directly with EDA vendors to shape tool roadmaps and build custom solutions.
