Join NVIDIA as a Senior System Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of mechanical systems for AI and high-performance computing platforms. You will work with a collaborative team focused on hardware innovation in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves driving improvements in chassis design, thermal performance, and system integration. Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
- 6+ years of experience designing mechanical systems for servers, datacenter hardware, or similar products.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or NX.
- Knowledge of thermal and structural analysis methods.
- Experience conducting tolerance analysis.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to debug and solve problems in lab and production environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of mechanical systems for AI and high-performance computing platforms.
- Translate product requirements into practical, scalable mechanical designs.
- Design and improve server chassis and compute platforms focusing on cooling, serviceability, and usability.
- Partner with electrical and thermal teams to analyze and improve system performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to drive design-for-manufacture.
- Build, test, and troubleshoot prototypes, leading validation efforts and root cause analysis.
