Job description

This position focuses on improving the quality and efficiency of research initiatives in equities, fixed income, and alternative investments through advanced quantitative techniques. The role involves developing analytical solutions using Python, R, and SQL to enhance the investment process. The candidate will work collaboratively with team members and business partners to address challenges and improve data quality. This position requires a strong background in data analytics within a financial services environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and three years of experience in data analytics within a financial services environment.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and one year of experience in data analytics within a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in maintaining accounts and supporting financial instrument data management operations using advanced VBA, SQL, and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced analytics and quantitative concepts to support investment research.
  • Analyze financial data for portfolio construction and alpha generation research.
  • Identify and resolve data issues while answering helpdesk queries.
  • Collaborate with vendors and business partners across the organization.
  • Participate in data management projects aimed at improving data quality.
  • Assist in defining and executing test plans and supporting user acceptance testing for process enhancements.
