The System Power and Perf Engineer role focuses on measuring and analyzing OEM in-chassis notebook products at both the silicon/SoC and platform levels. This position requires regular onsite presence in Santa Clara and involves competitive analysis as well as improvements to Intel platforms. The engineer will work closely with internal teams to influence customers and support product launches. A strong understanding of power measurement methodologies and experience in a post-silicon engineering environment are essential.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
• Understanding of power measurement and instrumentation methodologies.
• 1 year of basic soldering experience.
• Expert level micro soldering experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CPU micro-architecture, specifically x86 or ARM.

• Measure, analyze, and debug workloads on OEM notebook/laptop systems.
• Analyze SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail by rail basis and debug any issues.
• Understand and analyze power and performance workload behaviors for future platforms.
• Set up instrumented OEM systems for power and performance measurements.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to address gaps between Intel silicon data and OEM implementations.
• Support competitive analysis of power and performance and assist in projections.
