Job description
The Senior Power and Performance (PnP) Engineer role focuses on the execution of PnP products, emphasizing measurements, analysis, and projections of Intel's unlaunched and competitor products. The position requires regular onsite presence in Santa Clara and involves collaboration with various internal teams to influence power and performance positioning. The engineer will also debug Intel silicon/platform on PnP issues and contribute to product launches. This role is critical for ensuring accurate power and performance estimates that aid marketing and internal KPI targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with at least 2 years of experience.
- Prior experience in a post-silicon environment or working in a Linux, Android, or Chromebook test environment.
Responsibilities
- Measure, analyze, and debug workloads to identify power and performance gaps on Linux and Android/Chromebooks.
- Measure and analyze SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail-by-rail basis and debug any issues or gaps.
- Align with internal engineering teams and architects to ensure consensus on power and performance projections for communication.
- Guide and influence internal engineering, field account, and marketing teams on power and performance positioning of Intel products.
- Create power and performance estimates for upcoming Intel products based on workloads to support marketing decisions.
- Bring up full test platforms to enable power and performance measurements, including setup, calibration, and measurements.
