Job description

The Analyst position in Corporate Treasury's Resource Deployment and Strategy team focuses on managing the firm's balance sheet from both asset and liability perspectives. This role involves collaborating with senior management to design and execute the firm's funding strategy while serving as the main point of contact for various business lines. Candidates will engage with external stakeholders and develop analytical frameworks to inform resource allocation decisions. The team seeks individuals who excel in both detailed analysis and strategic thinking.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detail-oriented analyses and present high-level conclusions to senior management.
  • Strong risk management mindset with the ability to identify risks and design mitigating controls.
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing and interpreting large amounts of data and analyzing outputs to identify trends.
  • Functional understanding of financial institution liquidity metrics and bank balance sheets.
  • Knowledge of deposits, fixed income, repo, and/or equities markets is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce polished presentation materials.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to decisions regarding liability management and serve as Treasury's main point of contact with businesses.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to deploy the firm's balance sheet and facilitate new product launches.
  • Develop reporting for and present analyses of firmwide and subsidiary-level funding plans.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies and funding counterparties.
  • Develop and optimize the firm's funding liability strategy considering various financial metrics.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to inform marginal liability management and resource allocation decisions.
