The Identity and Network Access engineering team at Microsoft is seeking Software Engineers to develop and manage the new Microsoft Entra Security Service Edge offerings. The team focuses on enhancing online security and user management through innovative software solutions. Engineers will work on large-scale distributed networking security services while leveraging AI to improve engineering productivity. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, Golang, or Rust.
- 2+ years of familiarity with core networking protocols and technologies such as HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, and DNS.
- 2+ years of experience with Unix/Linux based operating systems and open-source contributions.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Product and Engineering team members to design and develop large scale distributed networking security software services and solutions.
- Leverage AI to build advanced security capabilities and boost engineering productivity.
- Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.
- Conduct system design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components and perform code reviews.
- Develop best-in-class engineering for services by ensuring they are well-defined, modularized, secure, reliable, and actively monitored.
- Improve test coverage for services, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas.
- Consider testability, portability, reliability, and maintainability in code development.
- Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders.
- Focus on customer and partner needs through a data-driven approach.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability, and monitoring for Live Site.
