Job description

As an ASIC Design Engineer at NVIDIA, you will be part of a skilled engineering team focused on building powerful SoC and GPU products that drive innovations in consumer graphics, self-driving cars, and artificial intelligence. Your work will involve drafting microarchitecture documents and implementing high-performance RTL to meet strict development targets. You will collaborate closely with architects and verification teams to deliver world-class RTL builds while assisting in debugging and post-silicon validation activities. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the future of computing.

Requirements

  • BS/MS Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 2+ years of relevant RTL design work experience.
  • Strong in micro-architecture and RTL development (Verilog), as well as entire front-end flows including logic synthesis, power, and timing analysis.
  • Exposure to Digital systems and VLSI design, Computer Architecture, and Computer Arithmetic.
  • Strong coding skills in Perl, Python, or other industry-standard scripting languages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Draft microarchitecture documents and implement high-performance, area and power-efficient RTL.
  • Analyze architectural trade-offs based on features, performance requirements, and area/power constraints.
  • Craft micro-architecture, implement them in RTL, and deliver fully verified, synthesis/timing clean builds.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, other designers, and pre and post silicon verification teams.
  • Work on a diverse list of IPs, including GPU's time distribution system, engine scheduler, interrupt controllers, and copy engines.
  • Assist the silicon bring-up team in debugging and post-silicon validation activities.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
