·FY 2025Job description
The Senior Radar Perception Engineer will design and productize NVIDIA's next-generation autonomous driving perception stack, focusing on 3D radar and multi-modal obstacle perception. This role involves hands-on implementation of advanced deep learning models and multi-sensor fusion techniques. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that radar perception solutions meet safety and performance requirements. The position requires a strong background in deep learning and radar signal processing to tackle complex real-world challenges.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on experience developing deep learning-based perception or radar signal processing systems.
- Strong proficiency in frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Proven experience in data-driven development and collaboration with data teams.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve the technical design and architecture for radar-based 3D obstacle perception.
- Conduct applied research on deep learning models to enhance radar point cloud data representation.
- Design and implement advanced 3D perception models utilizing radar inputs and multi-sensor fusion.
- Drive radar sensor evaluation and layout optimization for autonomous driving applications.
- Build efficient, production-grade deep learning models and follow best practices for training and evaluation.
- Help define and maintain KPI frameworks to quantify radar perception performance.
- Contribute to the data strategy for radar perception and collaborate with data teams.
- Collaborate with safety, systems, and software teams to ensure radar perception solutions meet product requirements.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
