Job description
The Amazon Customer Ecosystems (ACES) team is part of Amazon Cyber Threat Intelligence and focuses on developing actionable intelligence regarding advanced cyber threats to Amazon ecosystems. The successful candidate will analyze cyber threat actors and their tactics to generate insights into current threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber threats and the ability to analyze large data sets to identify malicious activities. The position emphasizes collaboration across teams to enhance security capabilities and drive innovation in threat intelligence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks using command line tools.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience tracking high-sophistication cyber threat groups.
- 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Knowledge of command line tools for troubleshooting protocols and analyzing log outputs.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with AWS products and services.
- Experience performing security activities across various phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with malware analysis, network flow analysis, and large scale data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform deep dive analysis of malicious artifacts.
- Analyze large and unstructured data sets to identify trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activities.
- Create security techniques and automation for internal use to operate at high speed and broad scale.
- Contribute to Amazon's understanding of the current threat landscape and associated techniques, tactics, and procedures.
- Draft and publish finished written threat intelligence products based on findings.
- Participate in periodic on-call responsibilities.
