Apple's Human Interface Devices (HID) group is seeking an algorithms engineer to innovate human-computer interactions for various Apple products. The role involves working in the early stages of development, defining new interactions and bringing sensing technologies to life. The engineer will collaborate closely with hardware, software, and design teams to develop and validate algorithmic concepts. This position requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in ambiguous environments and can build relationships across disciplines.

• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and mathematics, including state machine design, statistics, signal processing, and machine learning.
• Experience programming in C++ and Python.
• Experience developing for real-time systems.
• Experience developing interactions or input technologies.
• Experience with Objective-C and/or Swift.
• Experience developing software with agentic workflows.
