Job description

This role is part of Apple's Hardware Technology team, specifically within the CAD and Methodology team of the Silicon Engineering Group. The focus is on developing and implementing DFT and ATPG CAD solutions for various design projects. The position involves collaboration with design teams and DFT designers to address various technical challenges. The goal is to ensure high-quality DFT implementations that meet industry standards and improve coverage.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of industry experience
  • Experience with Perl, Tcl, or Python scripting languages
  • Exposure to industry-standard DFT and ATPG tools
  • Knowledge about industrial standards and practices in DFT, including ATPG, JTAG, and MBIST
  • Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL, and experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools preferred
  • Experience in debugging Compressed ATPG patterns, MBIST, and JTAG/1500-related issues
  • Familiarity with synthesis tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement DFT and ATPG flow
  • Participate in development and implementation of DFT architecture with the design team
  • Work with the DFT and Synthesis CAD team to verify DFT implementations
  • Support tool and infrastructure to generate structural test vectors and analyze and improve coverage
  • Work with DFT designers on STA, physical, power, and logical issues
  • Drive DFT and ATPG vendor engagements
