The role involves designing and developing the microarchitecture and logic for Qualcomm's Hexagon NPU, which supports various AI and ML applications. The position requires collaboration with architects and other designers to define future microarchitecture. It also includes performing feasibility analysis on design features and driving RTL design in SystemVerilog. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-performance microprocessor design and be adept at using digital design tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
• Strong hands-on experience with SystemVerilog and a deep understanding of RTL design methodologies.
• Solid foundation in AI/ML concepts.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, and shell scripting for design automation.

• Collaborate closely with architects, micro-architects, and other logic designers to define and develop microarchitecture for Qualcomm's Hexagon NPU.
• Drive RTL design in SystemVerilog, owning features from concept through tape-out.
• Perform early logic synthesis, static timing analysis, and power estimation to validate design choices before full implementation.
• Evaluate the design pipeline end-to-end, from instruction set architecture through microarchitecture, RTL development, and synthesis feasibility.
• Utilize industry-standard digital design tools including simulators, synthesis engines, and power/performance analysis frameworks.
