The Subject Matter Expert in messaging compliance technologies will design, implement, and manage Citi's global electronic mail and instant message Regulatory Archive application infrastructure. This role requires close collaboration with external vendors and various internal teams, including Risk, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. The focus is on developing effective archiving strategies and ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory frameworks. The position is critical for maintaining the integrity and performance of electronic communications within Citi's operations.

• Minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in the engineering and deployment of electronic Archive and Messaging products in a large scale installation for a financial institution.
• Experience in testing and implementing regulatory archive and/or email and messaging solutions.
• Electronic Messaging experience with understanding of SMTP RFC 5321 & RFC 2822 protocol.
• Experience with Smarsh, ZL, MS Exchange, MS Teams & Proofpoint product offerings.
• Understanding of Cloud computing technologies, ideally with Amazon AWS & Microsoft Azure Ecosystem.
• Competent knowledge of networking environments and email solutions.

• Architect, design, and develop new Archive products and enhancements for the messaging compliance space.
• Work with vendors to formulate contract revisions, negotiations, SOWs, and SLAs.
• Define policies needed to deliver a compliant and cost-effective archive strategy.
• Ensure compliance of electronic Messaging and Communications products with laws and regulations.
• Govern standards for compliance products and integrations into Citi production systems.
• Develop effective risk management plans adhering to Citi Risk Management guidelines.
• Collaborate with various Operations and eDiscovery groups on service improvements.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Business Owners to satisfy local requirements.
• Maintain and support the life cycle of all software/hardware components.
• Supervise and promote Citi engineering products globally.
