As a Senior Design PM of New Technology Introduction, you will oversee the design for maintainability and serviceability of new Fulfillment Centers within the Amazon network. You will engage with customers to gather business requirements and manage implementation programs while balancing business needs with technical constraints. The role involves frequent travel to various Fulfillment Center locations for design audits and long-term improvements. You will lead a team focused on optimizing mechanical system designs and ensuring compliance with maintenance and safety standards.

• 5+ years of experience managing multiple large projects.
• 3+ years of experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 6+ years of Amazon RME experience.
• Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360.

• Lead optimization of mechanical system designs within budget while managing trade-offs.
• Direct 3D modeling efforts and manage clash detection across the project portfolio.
• Review and approve 2D installation layout drawings.
• Validate spatial analysis of clearance envelopes and egress pathways across projects.
• Provide direction on engineering custom parts for non-standard design applications.
• Ensure maintenance and safety standards are consistently applied across all projects.
• Document all engineering decisions through design plans and installation files.
• Resolve escalated technical issues from junior engineers.
• Travel to sites as needed to conduct audits and support teams.
• Develop engineering team capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
