This position is for experienced software engineers focused on building large-scale database services for the cloud, specifically within the Amazon Aurora team. The role involves designing and developing significant software components that impact a vast user base. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions
• Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products

• Create metrics, implement automation and other improvements
