·FY 2025Job description
The Senior Signal & Power Integrity Engineer at NVIDIA will work on innovative Signal Integrity solutions for complex system design challenges. This role is part of a dynamic team that leverages cutting-edge technology to enhance high-speed interfaces. The engineer will engage in system-level simulations and modeling, contributing to the development of advanced products in the GPU and AI sectors. Candidates should be prepared to collaborate across various functions to optimize designs and improve performance.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with 6+ years of industry experience.
- Strong technical background in applied electromagnetics, transmission line theory, and signal processing.
- Experience with signaling standards like PCI express, USB, SATA, HDMI, HBM, DDR5, GDDR6, and LPDDR5X.
- Hands-on experience with 3-D modeling tools such as ANSYS HFSS/Q3D and ANSYS SIWAVE.
- Familiarity with system-level timing or loss budgets including silicon, package, and board impairments.
Responsibilities
- Craft creative Signal Integrity solutions to complex system design problems.
- Model and optimize vias, connectors, sockets, breakouts, and various system components using 3D EM tools.
- Conduct system-level signal integrity simulations for high-speed interfaces like NVlink, USB-4, and PCIe5.
- Continuously improve SI models using data from lab measurements and modeling tool updates.
- Create and review substrate and board layout SI guidelines and perform post-layout SI extractions.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
