Job description

The WW Materials Program Manager at Apple plays a vital role in ensuring operational success within the Procurement organization. This strategic supply chain position focuses on materials readiness, availability, and visibility, while collaborating with Contract Manufacturers and internal teams. The role involves managing the Clear-to-Build process and developing allocation strategies for constrained materials. A successful candidate will have a passion for complex supply chain operations and a strong ability to influence and partner with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related analytical field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in supply chain operations, materials management, procurement, or manufacturing planning.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheet modeling for supply/demand matching, forecasting, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Clear-to-Build (CTB), inventory allocation, or complex materials flow with Contract Manufacturers or OEMs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visibility to materials supply, highlighting projected coverage and constraints through Clear-to-Build management.
  • Partner with Contract Manufacturers to develop models that project availability in support of supply/demand goals.
  • Create allocation strategies for constrained materials and provide allocation direction to Global Supply Managers and Apple Suppliers.
  • Challenge and influence Demand Planning and Strategic Sourcing teams to improve allocation and maximize revenue.
  • Identify excess and obsolete materials risk, recommend actions to leadership, and mitigate liability to the business.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for the phase-out of obsolete parts and new product materials.
  • Prepare and communicate critical materials updates at weekly Sustaining Executive Program reviews.
  • Ensure the logistical flow of materials necessary to meet production schedules and inventory control requirements.
