This role involves working with the Product and Engineering teams to design and develop large-scale distributed networking security software services. The focus is on leveraging AI to enhance security capabilities and improve engineering productivity. The position requires adherence to modern software engineering practices and collaboration with mentors to create cohesive user experiences. The team is dedicated to ensuring the security and reliability of services in a complex digital landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, Golang, or Rust.
- 3+ years of familiarity with core networking protocols and technologies such as HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, and DNS.
- 6+ years of experience with Windows-based operating systems internals and open-source contributions.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Product and Engineering team members to design and develop large-scale distributed networking security software services and solutions.
- Leverage AI to build advanced security capabilities and boost engineering productivity.
- Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.
- Develop best-in-class engineering for services by ensuring components are well-defined and modularized.
- Improve test coverage for services, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas.
- Consider testability, portability, reliability, and maintainability in code development.
- Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors to enhance user experiences.
- Focus on customer and partner needs through a data-driven approach.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability, and monitoring for Live Site.
