The Sr Staff ARM Server Firmware Management Customer Engineer at Qualcomm is a senior technical authority focused on driving the success of ARM-based hyperscale server platforms. This role requires deep platform firmware expertise and customer-facing leadership to solve complex system-level issues and influence product direction. The engineer will lead multi-team debug efforts, mentor customer engineering teams, and serve as the final escalation point for critical deliverables. The position combines technical skills with strategic engagement to enhance platform integration and improve overall system reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
Responsibilities
- Act as the ultimate escalation point for boot blockers, firmware regressions, and other critical issues.
- Serve as the principal technical interface for hyperscalers and OEM/ODMs on various firmware and integration topics.
- Lead integration across UEFI/EDK2, ARM Trusted Firmware, and BMC firmware.
- Shape the end-to-end diagnostics and observability stack for server platforms.
- Identify systemic gaps in fault detection and drive architectural fixes and process improvements.
